📢 Important: Your safety is our priority. Proper handling of your Zoomo bike's lithium-ion battery is essential for safe operation. Please read this guide carefully to reduce potential risks and ensure optimal performance.

Lithium-Ion batteries pose a risk of fire if they are not used, handled, treated or charged correctly.

Using aftermarket battery accessories, chargers or products that have not been provided to you, or tested by, Zoomo for safety or compatibility may void your warranty, create unsafe riding conditions, or result in bike, battery or property damage.

DO NOT

❌Use damaged batteries - return it to Zoomo immediately.

❌Charge overnight or unattended.

❌Use non-Zoomo chargers.

DO

✅Charge on hard, non-flammable surfaces away from liquid or heat sources.

✅Charge at room temperature or between 10-45°C (50-113°F).

✅Get a battery health check at least every 3 months at your local Zoomo store.

🔋General handling and care

  1. Handle with care and avoid dropping the battery.

  2. Inspect before each use and charge (see guide).

  3. Get a Zoomo battery health check at least every 3 months.

  4. Do not use a battery that has been dropped or damaged

  5. Do not expose or submerge the battery in water or other liquid substance under any circumstances.

  6. Do not attempt to modify or open the battery.

⚡Safe Charging - Follow the Zoomo battery charging guide here

  1. Use only the charger supplied by Zoomo. Using a charger that is not provided to you by Zoomo, or not made for your battery can cause undetectable electrical faults or damage, increasing risk of a fire.

  2. Never leave a battery charging unattended or overnight.

  3. Charge batteries on non-flammable surfaces like concrete floors, avoiding beds or sofas.

  4. Only charge your battery at room temperatures between 10-45°C (50-113°F).

  5. Do not charge the battery near any heat source.

  6. Do not charge the battery near any liquid or in a high humidity environment.

  7. Ensure the battery is charged in a location that does not block a doorway or exit.

  8. Ensure a functional smoke or heat alarm is installed in rooms where batteries are charged or stored.

🚨Damaged Batteries

In some cases damaged batteries can continue to be operational. If you identify any damage you must stop using the battery immediately and return it to your local Zoomo store for inspection.

Damage is considered any of the following;

  1. Dents to the battery casing

  2. Cracks or holes in the plastic end caps

  3. Gaps in the end cap seals

  4. Electrical, thermal or corrosion damage to any electrical connector points

  5. Missing buttons or covers

  6. Water vapour in the LED window

Do not attempt to charge or use a damaged battery. Damaged batteries should be returned to Zoomo immediately. See the inspection guide for further details.

Zoomo may remotely monitor the health of the battery within the bike in order to ensure that it is operating normally. If the battery exhibits symptoms that indicate that an inspection should take place, you may receive an email or SMS asking you to bring the battery back to a Zoomo store. It’s important you do so promptly.

Please refer to the user manual for further information.
