Key tips to prevent damage or theft.

  • Use the Provided Lock: When you pick up your bike, you’ll receive a lock. Always use it when leaving your bike unattended.

  • Avoid Damaging the Bike: Don’t hang the bike from the seat post or handlebars, as this can harm the cables or mudguard.

  • Lock to a Fixed Object: Pass the lock through the bike frame and secure it to a solid, immovable object, like a pole. Insert the lock pin and remove the key. The key only comes out if the bike is locked correctly.

  • Theft Coverage Rules: Even if you have theft coverage, it only covers part of the bike’s value—and only if it was properly locked. If the bike wasn’t secured to a fixed object, you’ll be responsible for the full cost.

  • Extra Safety Tip: Always take the battery with you, even if leaving the bike for just a few minutes.
